2 weeks down, 2 more to go.

Half way done with my Belizean journey and all I can say is — wow! I have so many stories that I can’t wait to share when I get home. Being away from your loved ones and emerging yourself into a completely different reality than your own is something every person should experience. Travel as much as you can and as far as you can.

The first week I got here, I felt very disoriented. Taking cold showers, sleeping with bugs in your bed, feeling sick from the water, going to the market in a trash-filled town, and having no A/C during the miserably hot days can really take a toll on you. Believe me when I say that experiencing this day-to-day living condition tested my mental capacity than ever before. I felt lost and completely overwhelmed. Honestly, though, I needed it. I’ve been couped up in a comfortable lifestyle for such a long time — I need change. I have done my fair share of traveling, hiking, and living in unglamorous conditions already but nothing like this.

These past couple of nights, I sit in my room with my hot cup of lemon grass tea and smile. I am so happy that I pushed myself out of my comfort zone. Because of this experience, I kick my ass everyday making sure I leave this country with something special in my heart to take home with me.

        Push yourself. Be fearless.

Anonymous asked: I'm in love with your pictures! What's your go to lens for random shootings outside? Also, do you edit your photos after taking them or do they naturally come out like that? I'm not that experienced so I aways love to learn something new. Thanks in advance :)

Thank you so much! :) I always choose my 35mm prime lens. It’s my baby. I edit my photos with Lightroom 4! And I do VERY little editing. Most great work from everyone I know comes from a lot of trial and error — so just go outside and play!
